Prosperous 10 Clane 1
After a heavy defeat last week to BBC United, Prosperous returned to winning ways with an emphatic victory over Clane.
The strong cold wind meant that everyone was up for this game in an effort to stay warm.
Prosperous opened the scoring when Aidan scored but Clane responded to going behind by making it difficult for Prosperous to push on and shortly after they produced a break away goal to level things up. It didn't take long for Prosperous to go back in front and they scored through Niall, James, Aidan & Kyle to go in leading 5-1 at half time.
The 2nd half saw Prosperous start to control the game with some great interplay between the players from defense through midfield and on up to the strikers. The football they played at times was fantastic with simple passing and lots of touch and go work. This resulted in many opportunities for goals with Aidan notching 2 more and James, Cathal and Luke also scoring.
The Prosperous defense was marshalled very well by Captain Daragh & Cameron with Alex replacing Cameron in the 2nd half. Due to the way in which the team played the coldest player on the pitch during the match was goalkeeper Paul who had very little to do other than taking a few kickouts.
