Under 14's back to winning ways.
The under 14's got back to winning ways with a sweet win over table toppers Newbridge Town at St. FARNANS. The game started with Newbridge pressing hard from the first whistle. Within two mins they won a free on the edge of the box and their best player Buko buried it into the roof of the net. Newbridge continued to dominate the first half but found it hard to break down the Prosperous defence. The second half was better from Prosperous and they were the better team. From a corner Sean found Eoghan and he shot low to beat the keeper. One all and from then on it was all Prosperous. A free was awarded to Prosperous in their own half and Eoghan knocked if over the Newbridge defence as Darragh ran on to it he calmly slotted it past the keeper. Sean won a penalty but failed to score from it after the keeper saved it and the rebound. Newbridge had a few chances late on but with Doyler, coming on for the injured Conor, in top form and some fortune with the woodwork they couldn't score.
