Match Report U8's 29th/11/14
The Under 8 team travelled to Suncroft on Saturday and put in a good performance even though they were missing a few of their regulars. Jamie was only playing his third game while Oscar was making his debut .
Prosperous got off to a slow start in the first quarter and Zack did not have any chance with the 3 goals in that period. Prosperous came out for the second quarter and started to boss the midfield with Gerry and Brandon controlling the game but were unable to score a goal their play merited. Ryan and Mathew were playing well along with Oscar at the back to keep Suncroft out.
Prosperous had their best spell in the final quarter of the match with 2 great goals from Gerry and Brandon who both ran from the half way line with the ball and scored from just inside the area with Gerry getting his 7th goal and Brandon getting his first for the team. Gerry got a second goal to keep the team in the game with a great passing move between Zack, Szymon and Brandon but it was not enough as Suncroft ran out winners on a score of 5-3.
