The U16's today had 16 players, Ciaran, Aaron, Daniel B, Chris, John, Oisin, Killian, Brendan, Johnny, Evan, Conor, David, Andrew, Jack, Eoin and Daniel C who all deserved man of the match, Prosperous led from a Conor Hutchinson 40 Yd free for over an hour and went 2-1 down with 6 minutes remaining, even though it was clearly offsde, but never say die Prosperous fought back with a Oisin Kane 35 yd scorcher of a freekick, match finshed 2-2 draw with Edenderry Town..

The U16's picked up their first points with a well deserved 2-0 win away to Kill Celtic with Evan Moore scoring both goals. Prosperous were totally dominant in the first half with Brendan Cassidy, Daniel Banim, Oisin Kane and Evan Moore standing out, and the second half was a tighter affair with John Mallen, Chris Morrissey and Aaron Gartland who made a wonderful last ditch interception all leading from the back and Killian Darling and Andrew Devine combining well up front, and a point blank save from Ciaran Ward at a crucial time.

PROSPEROUS V MOONE
The U16 team were beaten 4-2 by a good Moone Celtic team in a strongly contested opening fixture. Both Killian Darling and Oisin Kane scored, and Ciaran Ward made various high class saves, Prosperous also hit the crossbar and had a good goal ruled out for offside, very strong performances from Daniel Banim and Evan Moore. Hopefully a better result next time out.
