Prosperous United 2 vs 1 Kilcullen AFC 20th September
Prosperous made a great start to this game and were unlucky not to score an early goal but they were caught out when Kilcullen sneaked a goal in against the run of play. Following this Prosperous managed to increase the pressure on Kilcullen which resulted in a great equalising goal from Reece following a superb pass in from Oliver having battled through their defenders tenaciously! The Prosperous back line of James, Conor and Christian played brilliantly together and fended off any approach Kilcullen tried to make. In the 2nd half again Prosperous put Kilcullen under pressure again with many near misses! A couple of great saves from our keeper Lee also kept the score line level. Kilcullen found it difficult to get past Alex on the right hand side with Oliver also controlling the left wing! After a period of tough play from both sides Darragh put a cross in which Oliver placed perfectly to get the winner. Sean, Rob and Kevin came on during the second half and they helped increase the pressure and the pace of game which Kilcullen couldn't match! A great game of football ended 2-1 to Prosperous, Great game and well done lads!

Liffey Celtic 2 v 1 Prosperous United13th September
Prosperous were away to Liffey Celtic this week. Both teams made a panicky start to the match, Liffey Celtic got an early goal after just 12 minutes. Prosperous settled into the game after this goal and the back line of Cathal, Kevin and Christian were strong and denied Liffey Celtic adding to their goal tally for the rest of the first half. Prosperous surged forward many times and attacked the Liffey Celtic goal looking for their equaliser and although plenty of shots were on target Prosperous were unlucky not to score.
The second half started with more of the same from Prosperous. The goal eventually came for Prosperous when Leo assisted Darragh to score. Prosperous hearts sank a little when Liffey Celtic grabbed a second against the run of play shortly after.. Prosperous then piled on the pressure and were unlucky not to get an equaliser before the final whistle. The game ended 2-1! Well played Prosperous, hard luck.

Prosperous United v Arlington 6th September
The game started well from both sides but Arlington grabbed an early goal. Prosperous boys tried their best for the remainder of the first half to equalise with shots from Reece and Leo thanks to assists from Oliver and Kevin but Arlington managed to get a second goal just before 1st half ended. Prosperous came out strong in the second half with Alex nearly getting a goal within ten seconds of the restart! Leo, Darragh and Oliver were very unlucky not to score. Prosperous got their anticipated goal when Cian followed in a shot from Oliver and scored. The remainder of the game was all Prosperous pressure on Arlington's defence which stood firm though Prosperous were unlucky not to equalise on a couple of occasions!
The final score finishing 2-1 to Arlington. Hard luck lads, well played.

Newbridge 0 v 6 Prosperous United 30th August
First match this season was away to Newbridge Town.. Prosperous made a very strong start, Leo's pass to Reece resulted in an early goal. Within a few mins Darragh and Oliver both nearly scored. With constant pressure from Prosperous the ball rarely went into our half but when it did the calm trio of defenders Cathal, Conor and Alex didn't let it near our keeper, Mark!
Kevin was subbed after a fantastic run for Sean who immediately made his presence known and was unlucky not to score within his first minute on the pitch. 2nd half brought 6 more goals. With a great passing move between forwards, Darragh scored. A fantastic ball from Oliver allowed Leo to score, with Reece doing the same for Darragh minutes later!
With Lee, Rob, James and Christian coming on as subs they continued the strong presence of Prosperous. The 5th was a fantastic chip from Reece. A great 1-2 play with Oliver and Leo lead to number 6, and Leo completed his hat trick for the 7th!! The game finished just after a very near miss from Oliver. A fantastic start to the new season...Well done Lads.
