Prosperous Utd 4-3 Rathangan
First quarter the team started slowly and Rathhangan came out of the blocks firing on all cyclinder by putting 2 goals past Prosperous within the first 10 mins.
Not to be too disheartened and the worst weather we’ve played to date, the team pulled off an excellent performance with some fantastic passing and some great individual skills to beat Rathangan 4-3.
Scoring were Josh Gannon 2, Oisin Hand 1 and Liam Blake scoring a goal from his own half!
Super performance guys, you all make our Saturday mornings worthwhile!
P.S. Thanks Pauline Kehoe for bringing the Oranges for the team for half time, it was much appreciated!

Prosperous Utd 4-1 Straffan Utd.
Another great team win whereby we can see that the training is starting to pay off with some great passing among the players.
Scoring were Oisin Hand 3, Liam Blake 1.
It’s worth mentioning that our Emma Swords took an absolute battering by the opposition, however braved on to ensure that we were on the right side of a result, Well done Emma and well done team!

Kildare Town 3-4 Prosperous Utd
We travelled to Kildare town where unfortunately the referee did not turn up. Not to disappoint players on both teams it was agreed that we would share the referring duties.
This was a very exciting game where Prosperous conceded 2 penalties. Not letting this deter us from getting a result the team knuckled down and grinded out a result with Josh Gannon scoring 2, and Liam Blake and Oisin Hand scoring 1 a piece to get a well deserved victory.
We’d like to thank the travelling fans who took the time to support team, I think we would all agree that this match was exciting and we had a nail biting end to the game with Ben Kehoe pulling off some great saves at the end of the match to guarantee our victory. We played Kildare town in our first match of the season where we lost 5-2 so we are extremely happy to come away with a win.

Prosperous Utd 9-2 Allenwood Celtic
The under 8’s had another well deserved win, this time against Allenwood Celtic.
It was impressive to see how they applied themselves in this week’s match as there were some excellent team passing along with some great individual skills on display.
Again it was great to see a full compliment as all 9 players turned up for the match and each contributed to another successful result, Not to forget the ever supportive family members who are on the sideline supporting the team!
Scorers were Josh Gannon(3), Cillian Barr (2) Jamie Hand (2)and Liam Blake (2).
Well done guys

Rathangan 0-5 Prosperous Utd
The under 8’s kicked off the weekend with a 5-0 win over Rathangan.
Running up to the match they were a little apprehensive as they knew Rathangan had a great 7-0 win the previous weekend. But their fears were soon forgotten as all players had a great game of football.
At one state Rathangan had a cracker of a free kick that rattled the cross bar(however we think the goal keeper- Jamie Hand had it covered).
But prosperous players succeeded with great determination in preventing the opposition from scoring. Each and every one of our team played a vital role in keeping a clean sheet and ensuring that Rathangan were kept at bay.
Scorers were Emma Swords (2), Liam Blake (2) Oisin Hand.
Well done team!

Straffan AFC 3- 4 Prosperous Utd
This was the under 8s second game of the season and a match that they won well.
Parents and supporters came out in force on a very sunny Saturday morning to cheer on the team.
Prosperous scored 4 goals in succession scored by Josh Gannon(2), Liam Blake and Jamie Hand.
Straffan came back well and scored the 3rd goal with 5 minutes remaining, so it was a nail biting finish. The support shown to both teams was great and long may it continue.
The under 8s had a strong backbone with Liam Blake, Josh Gannon, Jamie Hand and Oisin Hand having played under 8s last year, and we have further strengthened the team with our new comers- Jack Sullivan, Emma Swords, Alan Gartland, Cillian Barr and Ben Kehoe.
Well done on a great result!
